Mercedes-Benz is a German automobile corporation that specializes in production of various kinds of vehicles including cars, trucks, buses and coaches. The concern was founded in 1871. Now, Mercedes-Benz comes second among the world’s carmakers. In 1926, two companies, Daimler and Benz, amalgamated into one concern named Daimler-Benz. The Group was headed by Ferdinand Porsche.

Starting from 1946 and till 1955, the number of automobiles produced was really big for that time. 151,042 cars of model 170 and 18,514 of model 220 were manufactured over those nine years. Thanks to that, the Group could head the list of the West European carmakers. The premiers of the mid-nineties became the R170 SLK-Class, W168 A-Class and W163 М-Class. These cars became an excellent start into the 21st century.

A new model of the 21st century became the R230 SL-Class. The most successful model of this class became the SL65 AMG with a 12 cylinder engine. In 2008, this model received a face lift, and a new SL65 AMG of the special Black Series was built on the Formula 1 Safety Car platform. A lot of new models of the Е-, A-, M-, SLK-, B-, R-, CLS-, S-, CL-, C-, CLC-Classes, as well as Maybach limousines were released in the first decade of the 21st century.
